PTSA Meeting
Thursday, October 16 - The MCPS Superintendent, Dr. Thomas Taylor, will be the guest speaker at our October PTSA meeting! The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 16 at 7pm in Person. Please note that this is a change from the usual 2nd Tuesday meeting time, so we do not conflict with the Band and Orchestra Concert. Dr. Taylor will present about the upcoming boundary and program changes and how they will specifically affect Sligo Middle School. He will also speak about Capital Improvements to Sligo and take questions. This is a unique opportunity for Sligo MS to have dedicated time with the MCPS Superintendent! Make sure to take advantage of his attendance at our PTSA meeting to advocate for Sligo Middle School and show the District Leadership how amazing our school is! Spanish translation will be available. Please make sure to join us!

Joining the PTSA shows your support for our students, our teachers and our Sligo community!
We work with teachers and staff to improve the student experience at Sligo! We provide support to community-building events. We advocate on behalf of Sligo at the local, county and state levels. We raise funds to support the students, parents, teachers and staff.
We need help! We are an all-volunteer organization and we know how busy everyone is! Many hands make light work! Volunteers are needed from a big jobs to small! Please fill out this form if you are interested in learning more about open positions and helping!

Ha cambiado el metodo: Jueves 16 de octubre: Próxima reunión de la PTSA de Sligo con El superintendente de MCPS, Dr. Thomas Taylor, será el orador invitado en nuestra reunión de la PTSA de octubre. La reunión se llevará a cabo el jueves 16 de octubre a las 7 p. m. presencial- en la escuela Sligo. Tengan en cuenta que este es un cambio con respecto al horario habitual del segundo martes de cada mes, para que no coincida con el concierto de la banda y la orquesta.
